About this trip...
Enjoy this peaceful pedal through a wide open valley at the base of the towering Wallowa Mountains.
With lots of fresh air, and a good possibility of wildlife sightings as the animals head to bead down for the evening this trip is an amazing scenic adventure.
This trip provides a good taste of what Railriding is all about. It's a nice way to relax for a bit and
it's the perfect length to allow you to fit a Railriding experience into your busy schedule.
Your trip begins with an awesome Wallowa River crossing and then you'll round the bend and head into the valley
with an amazing mountain backdrop. Next you'll venture into an area flanked by dense pine forest.
Beyond the forest the rails lead you into wide open pasture land with farm animals and vast open views.
Your return trip provides some of the most breathtaking unobstructed views of the majestic Wallowa Mountains around.
Finally, be sure to check out our goodies in our depot after you arrive back to Joseph.
💡 Important Tips
• Every Railrider in Joseph features a pedal electric assist system for use on the uphill return leg of the trip. It is used for everyone and is a standard part of the ride.
You'll cruise back at a gentle 7 mph. Our electric assist system allows guests of varying fitness levels to enjoy this trip and requires minimal physical exertion.
• This trip runs half the length of our Valley Sights trip utilizing the same rails, it's the same length as our regular Mountains Edge and Golden Hour adventure.
If you've ridden our Valley Sites trip before or when you do so in the future you will see some of the same scenery.
It's awesome scenery so this isn't a negative point, just good to know. We have guests who come back to ride with us year after year, it sure is nice to see it twice, or thrice, or quice? 🙂*Please Note:To help condense our trips as well as to ensure the most comfortable and
enjoyable experience possible all of our departure times may not be available every day.
This trip in particular will only be added when the demand for space warrants it and we have the resources and energy to provide a safe and enjoyable trip.

Pairs will sit on Tandem Cars together
Families or groups of 3 or 4 adults may select a Quad Car if available. Groups with children ages 1-7 should also explore our Add On Child Seat option that can be added onto Tandem Cars
Groups larger than two will need to book multiple Railriders or a Quad Car
We do not hold seats for onsite booking or overflow. If your group has not reserved the proper configuration we may not have space available to accommodate everyone
Children ages 16 and up may ride on their own Railrider
A responsible adult must be present on the trip
No Animals Permitted

Safety Reminder: There is a 300lb / 136kg weight limit per each seat.
This is a limitation of our equipment and to ensure your safety it is a rule we cannot bend
No discount for empty seats. Lap riding is not permitted unless it's an infant secured in a chest carrier.

2-Seat Tandem Car - $80
SOLD BY THE CAR
(4 available per trip)
The sports coupe of our fleet is great for pairs of any combo, they may be pedaled by a single rider too
At least 1 guest age 16+ must be able to pedal to operate the assist
Each seat has 2 cup holders and a lap seat belt, there is room for a backpack or soft cooler
Most Children 8+ can reach, age 3 - 7 ride without pedaling
Your infant car seat may be belted onto these seats, infants up to 1 year may also ride in a chest carrier for free
Add On Child Seats can turn a Tandem Car into a 3 or 4 seat car for guests with children, see Add On Child Seat for more details

With 4 seats and 4 sets of pedals this is ideal for families with children, groups of friends, or odd numbered parties
Most children 8+ can reach, age 3 - 7 ride without pedaling
Your infant car seat may be belted onto these seats, infants up to 1 year may also ride in a chest carrier for free
Each seat has 2 cup holders and a lap seat belt
Luggage space is limited, e.g. we can fit four backpacks on board and that's about it. (bags with straps work well)
1 guest 16+ must be able to pedal to operate the assist
Very important:
Quad Cars cannot accept add on options. Quad Car total weight limit is 1000 lbs / 453 kg
Quad Car (Two Linked Tandems) $160

4 available per trip (depending on # of Tandems booked)
With 4 seats and 4 sets of pedals this is ideal for families with children, groups of friends, etc (not the greatest solution but still doable for odd numbered parties as there is more overall car weight)
At least 1 guest age 16+ must be on board the linked car set
Most children 8+ can reach, age 3 - 7 ride without pedaling or ages 1 - 7 may ride in an Add on Child Seat
Each seat has two cup holders and a lap seat belt
Luggage space is limited (backpacks or bags with straps work best)
How to Book:
Select the number of Quad Car (Two Linked Tandems) needed for your group, dates and times with availability will be presented on the calendar
Very important:
This version of a "Quad Car" can accept add on equipment.
Single Seat - $40
(1 available per trip)
It's great for single riders or odd numbered groups if our Quad Cars aren't available, the Single Seat guest may swap out at the midpoint so everyone in an odd numbered party gets a chance to ride with someone they know during half of the trip
